When two or more informed people at Integral altitudes are engaged in a dialectic, open to mutual influence, reaching for deeper truths in service of understanding and enhancing the human experience, they are enacting a 21st century meta-psychology.

Second tier dialectic discourse expands whatever it considers. In this workshop we’ll demonstrate such expansion with some of our favorite psychotherapy systems.

All psychotherapy systems seek to improve intersubjectivity and support the pair bond and family relationships. As these relationships mature, they increasingly have post-issue moments where neither partner accepts anything less than cocreating love when conflict disconnects them. This usually occurs through repair—shared understanding, a step forward, and mutual warmth.

We’ll explore how effective repair becomes more accessible and reliable as people progress on the integration-of-defenses, moral, psychosocial, and psychosexual lines
